the location was acceptable, near SOME food stores.
the walk from the station felt long. the hotel says it was a 8min walk, BUT it seemed like 10-12mins with luggage. the closest convenience store is around 5min away, this WASN'T ideal.

the hotel is near train stations and buses allowing access to tourist attractions and other areas. nishiki market, main streets, and kamo river area are within walking distance. i found umbrellas by the entrance handy for rainy weather. free amenities were available in the lobby too.
the passage way windows on the second floor had spider webs.

The breakfast area was clean and spacious. the japanese buffet breakfast was good and the dishes were changed daily. continental options were also available. A great spread, it was quite excellent.

i totally enjoyed many free items like pajamas. its super close to a train station and kamo river. a bike rental shop is super close and a 7/11 too! staff was so helpful. i left my luggage before check in. i explored the city without carrying all the things.
the walk to the hotel felt kinda long, especially with luggage. the hotel says its a short walk, but i seemed like it took a little longer coming from the station.

the room was spacious, clean, and very modern. the ac worked amazing. the room had everything i needed. the bed was more comfortable than other japanese beds. i stored my bags under it.

I stayed for five nights. the hotel is within walking distance to the train station, which i found really convenient. the staff spoke great english. They were helpful with directions and recommendations. my comfort double room desk non-smoking was spacious. it was so clean. it was a small, sweet luxury after a long day of exploring.
The breakfast had limited western options. i wanted a simple pastry. I could not find it. it was a very small inconvenience

the public transport access is a short walk away i found that quite convenient. i also noticed lovely streets around the hotel perfect for strolls. the staff were friendly and helpful
i found the air conditioning unit was located right above one of the beds.
